Her Name is Libertad is an intimate journey through the stories of women across the Americas who, facing cultural, social, and political challenges, move forward with determination on their path to freedom. This screening presents the story of Paula Ávila-Guillén, a voice that articulates the struggles for reproductive rights across the continent and connects diverse realities that together shape a shared pursuit — to live with dignity, purpose, and hope.

“Freedom is not given, it is claimed. Every individual struggle is part of a movement that transforms the continent.”

Recognized for its sensitivity and relevance in festivals across the United States, Canada, Finland, and Brazil, Her Name is Libertad continues to resonate in different parts of the world, reaffirming the importance of telling these stories from Latin America to the world.

We invite you to join us for this special moment and to share a story that crosses borders and connects voices across the continent.
